Why apricots?

Often overlooked in favor of more popular fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, apricots are making their come back as the fruit carries a whole host of health benefits that your body will soak up once consumed. You can have it either fresh or if they are dried, soak them in water and leave it overnight.

Constipation : having an excellent fiber content, apricots makes our bowel movements smoother and digestion more affective. Fiber is very important for everyone’s as it aids the body in the elimination of toxins.

Eyes/Vision – apricots are high amounts of vitamin A which is essential in maintaining and/or improving eyesight.

Fevers/Colds – apricots also contain high amounts of vitamin C that is an antioxidant hat is well known for its cold fighting properties. Vitamin C helps protect the body from colds by combating free radicals that are cancer causing substances.

Anemia – apricots contain high amounts of iron and consumption of apricots can help to increase the production of the hemoglobin in the body. Iron is essential in the support of red blood cells that are responsible for carrying oxygen to other cells.
