Foods that help prevent colds and flu

Before embarking on taking aspirin, antibiotics, painkillers etc. in your fight against colds and flu, consider enhancing your body's long-term ability to deal with infections by opting for some natural ‘remedies’ in foods and drinks.

Many foods come naturally packed with immune boosting and antiviral qualities and can be easily incorporated into your daily diet.

What to eat:
Foods rich in antioxidants:
The brighter the colour of fruit and vegetables, the higher level of antioxidants in them: Carrots, Sweet potatoes, Beetroot, Pumpkin, Spinach, Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Squash, Blueberries, Eggplant etc.

How juice detox helps prevent the anti-ageing process

Juice detox is arguably one of the most effective ways of not only strengthening your overall health and effectively preventing ageing process.
Freshly squeezed juices http://www.purifyne.com/our_juices_antiageing.php act as a natural eliminator of toxins as well as supply vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals etc. to strengthen one’s health. The antioxidants contained in juices, a nature’s secret weapon against ageing. They enable to eliminate free radicals, which contributes to wrinkles, sagging skin, loss of muscle tone, age spots and the onset of age-related diseases.
Free radicals also damage collagen which makes skin less elastic and cause wrinkles. Therefore, keeping free radicals under control is vital for the ageing process.

To do that, you should ensure that your diet includes as much fruit and vegetables as possible. Especially fruit and vegetables in their raw (not destroyed by cooking) or juicy (nutrients from juices are easily absorbed and go directly into our blood stream) form contain significant amount antioxidants that will combat the free radicals in your body.
Foods containing the following ingredients prevent the ageing process:
Vitamin C-foods: vitamin helps combat free radicals

Vitamin E: reduces inflammation and improve texture and elasticity

Essential Fatty Acids (EFA): these fats help skin retain moisture, keep it healthy and improves its appearance

Vitamin D: vital for so many areas of health – mood, joints and immune system – but it also plays a huge role in slowing down premature ageing of the skin

Hyaluronan (or ‘HA’): important for useful looking skin

Aloe Vera products: called an elixir of youth, Aloe Vera juice http://www.purifyne.com/our_programme_aloe_vera.php?programme=a helps put moisture back into the skin.
