Natural aids in your war against cellulite

The level of toxins in the system is one of the major causes of cellulite as the body stores dietary toxins in the cells just under the skin. Toxins disrupt the layer of cells causing cellulite which affects over 90% of women.

While there is no quick or definite cure for the bumpy “orange peel” skin, detoxification is a vital component that can reverse the process by cleansing and improving the structure of skin cells.

Here are a few natural aiders that can assist you to fight the bumpy “orange peel’ skin:

Seaweeds: One of the most important elements in seaweeds is the organic iodine that has a very strong effect on the metabolism and mobilises fat. Iodine regulates the thyroid gland which in turn regulates the functioning of the metabolism.

• Kelp* (liquid/tablets) is a sea plant that supports thyroid function and can help in your fight with cellulite as well as improve the condition of your hair, skin and nails.

*People with underactive thyroid tend to have problems with losing weight and therefore, it is advisable for them to take kelp as a supplement. However, those with overactive should not take kelp.

Celery’s stems, leaves and seeds contain active anti-inflammatory substances and have a strong diuretic effect. Both of these characteristics can help you banish cellulite.
• Eat it raw as a snack since many of its active ingredients are lost when they are cooked

• Juice it and mix it with Carrot, Tomato, or Beetroot juice

• Juice it with Cabbage as it works synergistically to break down fat cells

Beetroots contain the Alkaloid Betaine which has a significant effect on the liver by detoxifying it and stimulating its normal function. It has some healing and tonic quality, helps spur fat mobilisation and tone the body.

• Grate it raw for your salad

• Juice it to cleanse and "build" the blood

Gotu Kola is is one of the few herbs that have been investigated specifically as a treatment for Cellulite. A 3-month study involving 65 people with Cellulite resulted in 58% of participants reporting 'very good' results and a 20% with 'satisfactory' outcome. Ideal in treating Cellulite due to its ability of enhance the structure of the connective tissue surrounding fat chambers and by the same action improves the circulation of blood. It strengthens connective tissues by stimulating the body's production of the ground substance that keeps collagen fibres locked firmly in place.

Grape Seed extract supports connective tissue by reinforcing the cross-linking structure of collagen. It is also a powerful antioxidant and improves the lifespan of Vitamin C which is itself important to the health of the connective tissue. Like Gotu Kola, Grape seed extract helps maintain the strength and elasticity of the blood vessels for healthy circulation.

Bikini Body Ready

Summer is upon us and the Beach Season is just around the corner. Purifyne is pleased to introduce our new Bespoke Plus Detox Plans for your ultimate Bikini Body Ready.

Our new Bespoke Plus Detox is an excellent method to achieve lean, toxins and cellulite-free body. With some help of the below ingredients you can enjoy Bikini Body Ready this summer

• Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs): appetite suppressant, fat burner and skin cells improver

• Spirulina: appetite controller, fat burner etc.

• Chlorella: cleansing agent with the highest source of Chlorophyll and other antioxidants

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs):

There is a direct correlation between the lack of EFAs and the appearance of cellulite. Incorporating Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) into our Bespoke Plus Detox, the plan concentrates on improving skin structure by strengthening and keeping the “structural framework" of the skin cells supple and elastic.

By providing ‘good fats’ to the body, EFAs assist in suppressing appetite, decreasing unhealthy cravings, burning more calories and, ultimately, losing weight.

Spirulina

The blue green alga has a direct effect on the brain's satiety centre and represents an excellent aid to appetite control and fat loss. Spirulina is superfoods with easy digested protein (12-15 times more protein than steak), high in EFAs and the highest level of beta-carotene and chlorophyll. Both help to boost collagen and enable the body to make Vitamin A.

Chlorella

A natural ‘whole food’, this "green miracle" alga is used as an anti-ageing food and supplement. Chlorella provides the highest source of Chlorophyll, one of the most cleansing agents and assists the body in fighting against free radicals by energising it with antioxidants, multi-vitamins and minerals. Free radicals rob our body from healthy cells and are the main triggers for ageing fast.

Purifyne recipe: Red Cabbage and Smocked Mackerel

Purifyne detox is a valuable tool to improve your health and overall wellbeing. You can reduce your weight, improve complexion, reduce craving, improve sleeping pattern etc. Although our detox plans are the perfect spring board to starting a long-term, healthy and balanced diet, it is not the answer to ‘ever healthy you’ if your every day food choices consist of deep fried, high refined, ‘no fibre’ and vital nutrients foods.
Purifyne’s goal is to revolutionise your long-term relationship with food and your body. As you progress through your detox, your approach to food naturally changes and you make healthier food choices almost subconsciously.
With that in mind, we create our own Purifyne recipes which are quick and easy to prepare and, most importantly, they are delicious. We use fruit and vegetables that possess detoxifying qualities such as red cabbage, beetroot, carrots, broccoli, lemon etc. We combine them with foods that have vital nutrients for your body and mind (rather brain e.g. Mackerel, Tuna is high in Omega-3 etc.).
